Workplace Factors

The 13 Psychosocial Factors were developed by Guarding Minds@Work and referenced by the Mental Health Commission of Canada in the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace. These factors address elements that impact employees’ psychological responses to work and work conditions that could potentially cause psychological health problems. They include both the way work is carried out (i.e. deadlines, workload, work processes) and the context in which work occurs, which is about relationships and interactions with each other.
